Where's the Money? How to Find Green to Improve and Grow Your Business
In this session we'll look at green retrofits from small, budget-conscious energy improvements to full-scale addition/remodels. We'll discuss how these projects would meet the City of Boulder’s proposed SmartRegs ordinance. We'll also look at how the various contractors, professionals and strategies worked together to achieve the optimal return on investment (ROI), greenhouse gas emissions reductions, actual costs, and the synergies of various systems. Specifically we will explore the strategic use of weatherization/insulation techniques, windows, IAQ, renewable power systems, small scale ground source heat pumps, and HVAC. Case study presentations will be followed by opportunities for attendees to ask subcontractors and consultants specific questions about these projects.
